Dentistry under sedation
Sedation dentistry is your best option if what you want is to simply relax and forget about the stress that your dental visit could cause you.
We can perform any dental treatment under any type of sedation.
We have 3 options
- Nitrous oxide sedation; Known as “laughing gas” it combines with oxygen. With it the patient is awake and responds to any type of order or question asked. The gas typically produces pleasurable sensations that can help the patient relax.
It can be performed on children from 3 years old as long as the patient COLLABORATES AND AGREES TO HAVE A NASAL MASK ON THEIR NOSE.
- Intravenous Sedation performed by a SPECIALIST IN ANESTHESIOLOGY. This consists of the administration of medication that induces a state of drowsiness that allows a diagnostic/therapeutic procedure to be carried out and for the patient to tolerate it while maintaining cardiorespiratory function. No You will remember nothing about the treatment.
-
General anesthesia. Made by a SPECIALIST IN ANESTHESIOLOGY. It is a combination of medications that put you in a sleep-like state before a surgery or other medical procedure.
With general anesthesia, you feel absolutely nothing because you are completely unconscious. Generally, general anesthesia uses a combination of intravenous drugs and inhaled gases (anesthetics).
